Restoration of the Nellie McKnight Museum - 2004         back to home page
The museum was prepared for the work to prevent breakage and dust damage..

A section of the roof beam was missing. The missing section is installed and braced.
       
Footings poured and new beams installed. Old beams were removed. Dirt floor removed and a cement floor poured.
       
Northeast corner before being reinforced and sprayed with cement. Northeast corner after restoration.
       
Northwest corner before being reinforced and sprayed with cement. Northwest corner after restoration.

 

New items.  
New cellar stairs. New cellar windows.
Old oil tank removed. Furnace connections await the new furnace.
